Joe Wiegand as Theodore Roosevelt
The Lincoln Group of the District of Columbia is pleased that Joe Wiegand will present “A Theodore Roosevelt Salute to President Abraham Lincoln.” Joe has portrayed America’s 26th President for many years through all fifty states, including a performance for President George W. Bush in the East Room of the White House in 2008 to celebrate the 150th anniversary of Teddy’s birth. After delighting a packed house at the National Archives as one of the four Mount Rushmore Presidents during President’s Week in February, 2017, Joe returns to Washington for the 50th anniversary of the National Park at Theodore Roosevelt Island in the Potomac River. He is a historian, writer, and interpreter of Teddy’s life and times, and is also an active member of the Theodore Roosevelt Association.
Teddy will greet guests during the social hour (with cash bar). The 7:00 p.m. dinner will include salad, chicken, vegetables, and dessert, with a vegetarian option (upon advance request). The 8:00 p.m. address will be followed by a question-and-answer period. Reservations may be made online at or by contacting Susan Dennis at firstname.lastname@example.org, 703-532-6188. Deadline for reservations is Tuesday, October 24.
